These Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Your statutory rights are unaffected.

"Customer" means a person or organisation that buys products with Silicon Connect Ltd

A reference to writing or written includes letters and emails.

Our Site is currently only intended for use by people resident in the United Kingdom and we reserve the right to not accept orders from individuals resident elsewhere.

Your status
By placing an order for products through our Site (Order), you warrant that:
A) You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
B) You are at least 18 years old.

It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid payment method to place an order. We may track every order placed on our Site to enable us, and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities, to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on or using our Site.

Condition of products – depending on the cosmetic condition of the products and its accessories we break this down as follows:

NEW – new products, we may open packaging to scan serial numbers.
REFURBISHED – products in good condition may be customer returns ordered in error etc.
USED – may have small marks signs of usage.

Limitation of our liability
Nothing in these terms of use excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

Orders

You should always check that the contact information you provide is correct before proceeding to payment.

Order Delivery – Silicon Connect Ltd is only able to deliver orders to the UK billing address mentioned on your bank/credit card account or to the registered UK address of your PayPal account used for the transaction. Silicon Connect Ltd is not liable for any missed delivery, due to an incorrect or incomplete address entered by you.

2.1
All Orders are subject to acceptance by us. Your offer is only accepted by us once we have dispatched your order.

2.11
Any order placed online will be considered as a binding contract, when, the order will be dispatched by Silicon Connect Ltd unless it has been cancelled by Ourselves or the Customer.

2.2
The Contract will relate only to those Products we have confirmed in the Payment Confirmation.
We will not be obliged to supply any other Products which may have been part of your order until the acceptance of such Products has been confirmed in a separate Payment Confirmation.

2.21
Items not dispatched are not included in the order and contract between you and us.

2.22
Contract cancellation: An order can be cancelled till the time it has been dispatched.

2.23
We reserve the right to delay or refuse orders where a transaction contains incomplete details or details that cannot be verified or where fraud is suspected.

2.24
If we are unable to reasonably ascertain these details or resolve these issues a full refund will be made to source of funding used at the time of purchase. No other form of refund or credit will be offered nor will a refund be made to any third party card or account.

Any drawings, photographs or advertising we issue, and any photographs or illustrations contained on our Site, are issued or published solely to provide you with an approximate idea of the products shown. There may be slight variations between these photographs or illustrations and the Products which you receive.

2.4
We shall assign an order number to the Order and inform you of it in the Payment Confirmation. Please quote the order number in all subsequent correspondence with us relating to the Order.

2.5
If we are unable to supply you with Products, for example because those Products are not in stock or are no longer available, we will inform you of this by email and we will not process your Order. If you have already paid for the Products, we will refund you the full amount to original source of funding as soon as possible. No other form of refund or credit will be offered nor will a refund be made to any third party card or account.

Price and payment
3.1
The price of any Products will be as quoted on our Site, except in cases of obvious error.

3.2
These prices include VAT but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount based on products ordered and delivery location unless order qualifies for free delivery.

3.3
We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Payment Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

3.4
We shall not dispatch any Products until we receive payment in cleared funds.
Please be aware that if you are using Paypal as your payment method we reserve the right not to ship to unconfirmed addresses.

3.5
We reserve the right to alter all product pricing without notice.

Cancellations
4.1
Both the Customer and Ourselves have the right to terminate any Services Agreement for any reason, including the ending of services that are already underway.
No refunds shall be offered, where a Service is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway.
Any monies that have been paid to us which constitute payment in respect of the provision of unused Services shall be refunded.

4.2
To cancel order, you must inform us in in writing.

A) by email, simply email us at sales@siliconconnect.com. Please provide your name, details of the Order and, where available, your phone number.
B) by post, post it to us at the address below, including details of the Order and, where available, your phone number.

4.3
We will need to receive cancellation request within the cancellation period.

4.4
As stated above notification of cancellation must be in writing, a telephone call is not a valid cancellation.

4.5
You will not have any right to cancel a Contract for the supply of any of the following Products:

Computer software which has been unsealed.
4.7
Consumable goods which have been sealed for health or hygiene reasons and the seal has been broken or removed, except in circumstances where a fault has been discovered that could not have been identified without unsealing the Products.

4.8
We reserve the right to levy a £25 charge to cover any subsequent administrative expenses.

Shipping
5.1
We will aim to process orders received before midday same working day (Monday to Friday except Public and Bank Holidays).

5.2
We don’t currently ship abroad.

5.3
No deliveries to PO Boxes/Mail Forwarders. We will not dispatch orders to PO boxes or third party services such as mail handlers and forwarders. This is because we cannot get sufficient proof of postage. Such orders will be refunded.

5.4
No collections from the warehouse.

5.5
Silicon Connect Ltd will not be held responsible for incorrect postal address resulting in failure to receive your goods.
Please check you have entered the correct delivery address. No refund will be given for goods delivered to the wrong address.

5.6
Our standard delivery is Royal Mail Tracked 24 (unless otherwise stated) which normally arrives on second working day but this is not guaranteed. Larger boxes will ship via courier FedEx or DPD. Mainland UK is usually Next Day service, some areas are on Two Day service as couriers don’t guarantee Next Day.

5.7
Next day delivery by courier is not guaranteed but we find that in 99% of instances it gets dellivered on time.If customer asks courier to leave parcel in an alternative ‘safe place’ customer accepts all liability, if package is stolen, then it’s customers responsibility.

5.8
Late delivery of Products does not entitle the Customer to do any of the following:

(a) Reject the Products.

(b) Cancel the order.

(c) Withhold payment of any part of the Product contract price.

Warranty

6.1
Silicon Connect Ltd offers a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

6.2
The warranty will become invalid if the products have not been used for the purpose they were designed for.

6.3
If any goods returned to us are deemed tampered with, your warranty will become null and void and no refund will be given, the product will also be disposed of in the approved manner.

6.4
In the event of a faulty product or failure we will not be held responsible for any losses incurred whilst we replace or repair the product.

6.5
Costs of return carriage will always be met by the customer unless a faulty or incorrect item has been sent.

6.6
Any item found to be faulty within the warranty period should be returned to us for a free repair or replacement. Any unauthorised repairs void warranty

6.7
Before returning any item to us please contact us for a returns form, no goods can be returned or processed without this form being completed and an authorisation number being issued.

6.8
Any items returned not following this process will void our return policy and no replacement item or refund will be given.

6.9
The customer is responsible for the safe return of any goods, we strongly recommend sending with a proof of delivery in the unlikely event we do not receive the goods or they are lost in the post. We will not be held responsible in such an event.

6.10
Physical Damage to goods received must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

6.11
All products sent to Silicon Connect Ltd for refund or return under warranty are made pursuant to a shipment contract. Prior to Silicon Connect Ltd receiving such products the risk of loss and title for such products remains with the Customer.

6.12
This warranty does not cover physical damage, damage or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, improper maintenance, and improper voltage supply, interference from or with other electronic devices, alteration, improper modification, firmware flashing, bios flashing.

6.13
Warranty does not cover the incorrect purchase of our products.

6.14
Silicon Connect Ltd bears no responsibility for your loss of data, please ensure that all data is removed from the device before booking in for warranty or returning the device.

6.15
Batteries
The maximum capacity of any battery included in the Hardware Product will decrease with time or use, and battery cycle life will vary depending on product model, configuration, loaded applications, features, use, wireless functionality, and power management settings. Whilst rechargeable batteries are covered by the manufacturers’ limited warranty, in most cases, this does not extend beyond 6 months from the date of purchase. Batteries included with refurbished laptops are consumables and covered with 90 days warranty only.

Returns policy

7.1 Cancellation Rights, Returns and Refunds (Applies to purchases that are within 30 calendar days from the day after you receive your goods)

7.2 You have a right to cancel your purchase. However, to exercise this right, you must notify us by email and return the product within 30 calendar days from the day after you receive your goods.

7.3
Unwanted Products: As per the distance selling regulations, you have until 14 days to return the Product as unwanted, we have extended this to 30 days. Outside the 30-day period, we reserve the right to refuse any refund or exchange for the Products which are not faulty.

7.4 As stated above notification of cancellation must be in writing, a telephone call is NOT a valid cancellation.

7.5 Unless the product is defective and you are returning it for this reason. We can reduce the amount of money refunded for goods returned which show evidence of use beyond the handling necessary.

7.6 If you are returning your product because it is defective, please provide detailed description of the defect or defects on return.

7.7 Repackage the product in its original packaging, including any accessories, brochures, manuals, guarantees or warranties that came with the product. Unfortunately we will be unable to issue a full refund where the product is in an incomplete state.

7.8 If the original packaging surrounding the product has been damaged or destroyed we will only issue a full refund if the product is being returned due to a defect. If the original packaging of a defective product has been damaged or destroyed you should ensure that the returned product is adequately packed for shipment back to us.

7.9 You are responsible for paying any postage or shipping costs incurred when returning the product, however if goods are alledged to be defective we may provide prepaid return label.
Should we find that there is no genuine defect with the returned product we will withold cost of return postage from any refunds due.

7.10 We recommend that all returns be sent by Royal Mail signed for delivery, so that a record of the return is available for you, second class post is fine.

7.11 We will not issue refunds for any items lost or stolen in transit to us.

7.12 Where a return is lost or stolen in transit to us, you should claim compensation from the company that shipped the return.

7.13 Unused products may be returned by notifying us in writing, (email or letter) within 14 calendar days from the day after you receive your goods.

7.14 Subject to the above, we will refund the purchase price of a returned product within fourteen days of receiving the returned product. We will also refund the standard delivery cost that you paid at the time of ordering if applicable, however we will not refund postage for an upgraded delivery service which includes guaranteed next day ot timed delivery service that you specified and paid for at the time of ordering.

7.15 We will also refund the cost of standard or recorded postage incurred returning a product to us, only if it was incorrectly sent by us or where the product has been returned due to a defect. Please note that we will not refund postage for an upgraded delivery service which includes guaranteed next day ot timed delivery service that you specified and paid for at the time of ordering.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

The data mining, extraction or utilisation of product information from our website is not permitted without our express prior written permission.

Limitation of Liability
9.1 While Silicon Connect Ltd will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the website or displayed in the store, Silicon Connect Ltd makes no warranties, whether express or implied in relation to its accuracy.

9.2 Silicon Connect Ltd will not be liable, in contract, tort for:

Any economic losses
Any loss of goodwill, business or reputation
Any special or indirect losses suffered by the User as per the Terms of Use
9.3 Silicon Connect Ltd's liability whether in contract, tort or otherwise in respect of any defect in the Products or for any breach of the Terms of Use or of any duty owed to the Customer in connection herewith shall be limited in the aggregate to the price of the Products in question.

9.4. Severance
If any part of the Terms of Use shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be sever-able from the Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforce-ability of any of the remaining provisions.

9.5 Liability
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

10 Exclusions and Limitations
The information on this web site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company. It excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Company’s literature; and excludes all liability for damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business or profits (whether or not the loss of such profits was foreseeable, arose in the normal course of things or you have advised this Company of the possibility of such potential loss), damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon or any other direct or indirect, consequential and incidental damages.

The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer are affected.

11 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Silicon Connect Ltd fully from any third party claims arising out of your negligence.


Business To Business Terms and Conditions of supply.

Businesses do not get cooling-off periods when signing up to contracts.

Business to Business contracts are exempt from Distant Selling Regulations

You must check the products on delivery and notify us promptly of any problems or issues and in any event within 2 working days of delivery by email, and return the products to us within 5 working days of such notification from you by following our Returns procedure. Please note that risk of the products in transit rests with you.

Any products that you return to us are returned at your own risk, therefore you should take reasonable care that any products to be returned are fully insured, correctly addressed and adequately packed.

Where we agree to accept unwanted products back from you, we reserve the right to charge you a re-stocking fee of 10% of the Product sales price.

Any such returned products must be undamaged in a fully resalable condition and if they are not, we may refuse to accept the products back. You have 5 working days in which to return unwanted products.
