About Our Dell Outlet Broker Laptops
Service Tag & Configuration Information
- Our laptops are sourced through official Dell Outlet Broker channels.
- These systems may have originally been returned to Dell for various reasons (for example cancelled orders, minor cosmetic marks, surplus stock, etc.).
- When Dell sells laptops through the broker channel, Dell removes the Service Tag from the laptop’s BIOS and from Dell’s public warranty database. This prevents unauthorised warranty claims.
- Even if the original Service Tag sticker is still present on the chassis, it may not return any results on Dell’s support website.
- If the Service Tag does appear on Dell’s support page, the specifications shown will reflect the original factory configuration. This means the current specifications of the laptop may be partially or completely different from those originally listed by Dell.
- Please note:
- We program a Service Tag for the laptop using our internal numbering system, as laptops with a blank Service Tag field in the BIOS would not operate correctly otherwise.
- This Service Tag is used solely for our internal stock control and warranty tracking purposes and will not be recognised on Dell’s support website.
What You Will Receive:
- The specifications shown in the listing are the exact specifications of the laptop you will receive.
- Each system is individually configured and accurately described. The processor, RAM, storage, display type and other key components listed are the precise configuration supplied.
Drivers & Software Support:
- The removal of the original Service Tag does not prevent you from installing drivers, BIOS updates, or Dell software.
- All drivers for the specific laptop model remain publicly available from Dell.
- Drivers can be installed in two ways:
- Manually — by downloading them from Dell’s official website.
- Automatically — by installing Dell’s universal update application (Dell Command Update / Dell Update). or by using the Windows Update feature
- To access drivers or applications, simply search on Google:
